The mid-sized model in our Transit range, Transit Custom, sets the benchmark for efficiency and loadspace, and will make a striking impression on your customers. All-new Ford EcoBlue engines offer more power and torque, yet are cleaner and more fuel-efficient than ever before.
Unique, load-through storage area
The Transit Custom has a unique feature designed to extend its load space. A full height, full width bulkhead divides the load area from the passenger cabin and this bulkhead has a flip-up panel at floor level. This means you can load items up to 3m long through the rear doors and into an extended storage area under the van’s dual passenger seats, even in the short wheelbase version. This smart feature enables you to keep valuable materials inside your vehicle, rather than on display on the roof.
Different roof heights
The L1 H1 version provides a cavernous 6.0 cubic metres of loadspace with a bulkhead fitted and the L2 H1 offers 6.8 cubic metres. Both models are also available as a H2 (high-roof) version, increasing the distance from loadfloor to roof to an impressive 1.76m and creating a maximum load volume of 8.3 cubic metres on the largest L2 H2 model.
Features Interior
New, more comfortable front seats
The driving seat is fully adjustable, along with the steering wheel, so you can find your ideal driving position. There’s a built-in armrest too, while adjustable lumbar support, heated seats and a power-adjustable driver’s seat are options. In fact, while providing commercial vehicle standards of durability, the seats are designed to be as comfortable as those you’d find in a car. So whether you use the van for long distance journeys or frequent short trips, you’ll enjoy a more relaxing day in the office chair.
Features Exterior
Keeping your trailer safely in line
Trailer Sway Assist (TSA) detects ‘snaking’ or trailer sway and reduces the Transit Custom’s speed to help solve the problem, making towing more controlled. It slows the vehicle down by reducing the engine’s torque and gradually increasing the brake pressure on all wheels.
Electronic Stability Control (ESC)
Senses when you are deviating from your chosen line and aims to keep you on track by automatically regulating braking and engine output. (Standard)
