Mike Finlay of Finlay Motor Group recently spent a week cycling across Spain for charity . The cycle was in aid of The Peter McVerry Trust and Dublin Chamber of Commerce were the organisers of the event. The Peter McVerry Trust was established in 1983 in a bid to tackle homelessness, drug misuse and social disadvantage. Since being established it has supported thousands of young people in Dublin. It is events and fundraisers like this one which allows charities continue with their work.
This event was a 721km cycle done over a five day period with a total of 30 participants. Mike was one of the participants and was spotted somewhere between San Sebastian and Barcelona sporting the Naas Cycling Club kit. Finlay Motor Group are proud and continuous sponsors of Naas Cycling Club, and both Mike and Finlay Motors are proud to be associated with a local club. Mike was snapped wearing the kit while participating in the charity cycle. Mike sporting the kit is a bid to showcase our proud our sponsorship and relationship with the club wherever possible. The picture in which the Naas kit is visible is a insight into the fun and laughter that was had while doing something for such a worthwhile cause. Mike and the other participants who fully funded themselves to take part have raised over €20k for the Peter McVerry charity.
